Aviation services company Swissport has added a top European hub to its network with the commencement of aeroplane servicing at Rome-Fiumicino Airport (FCO) in Rome, Italy.
The latest move follows a contract from Alitalia – Società Aerea Italiana to provide ground handling services at the airport in May.
Earlier this month, Swissport successfully completed talks with trade unions regarding the smooth transit of its operations.
It has already handled approximately 501 flights and catered to nearly 67,474 travellers for different airlines at Fiumicino airport since launching operations on 14 July.
Among the carriers served by the firm include ITA Airways.
These carriers can select from a suite of services, such as ramp handling, passenger services, cargo transport and lounge hospitality.
