French airport operator Groupe ADP has increased its traffic forecast for 2022, following an increase in passenger numbers in the first half of the year.
Over the first half of 2022, the group served 118.2 million passengers. The figure represents 71.9% of the traffic level recorded pre-pandemic, in the same period of 2019.
Based on these figures, ADP now expects traffic for the year to remain between 74% and 84% of 2019 levels.
The operator also increased the forecast for its Paris Aéroport to between 72% and 82% of 2019 levels.
Previously, the company expected total traffic for the year to be between 70%-80% of pre-pandemic levels for the group and 65%-75% for its Parisian airports, reported Reuters.
At the end of 2029, ADP’s network included 28 airports, which were operated under management contracts or concessions. The portfolio includes three Parisian international airports, namely Charles de Gaulle Airport, Orly Airport and Le Bourget Airport.

The number of passengers it served in the first six months of 2022 stood at 118.2 million, a jump of 134.4% compared to 2021 figures.
In a statement, Groupe ADP also said that it is keeping an eye on developments related to the Ukraine conflict to analyse its short, medium and long-term consequences.
Last month, Groupe ADP and Air Liquide partnered for the development of hydrogen infrastructure at airports.
