Europe was the fastest growing region for industrial automation hiring among airport industry companies in the three months ending April.
The number of roles in Europe made up 13.3% of total industrial automation jobs – up from 5.6% in the same quarter last year.
That was followed by North America, which saw a 4.5 year-on-year percentage point change in industrial automation roles.
The figures are compiled by GlobalData, who track the number of new job postings from key companies in various sectors over time. Using textual analysis, these job advertisements are then classified thematically.

The fastest growing country was Hungary, which saw 0.6% of all industrial automation job adverts in the three months ending April 2021, increasing to 6.3% in the three months ending April this year.
That was followed by the United States (up 5.5 percentage points), Poland (0.9), and Germany (0.7).
The top country for industrial automation roles in the airport industry is the United States which saw 71.4% of all roles advertised in the three months ending April.
Which cities are the biggest hubs for industrial automation workers in the airport industry?
Some 6.2% of all airport industry industrial automation roles were advertised in Budapest (Hungary) in the three months ending April.
That was followed by Bengaluru (India) with 3.4%, Atlanta (United States) with 2.4%, and Dallas (United States) with 1.9%.
