Technology company Parsons has secured a contract from JetBlue Airways to offer programme management services for terminal development at Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport (FLL) in the US.
On behalf of the Broward County Aviation Department, JetBlue Airways has been chosen to oversee the construction of Terminal 5 (T5) at the airport.
Under the $12.6m programme management contract, JetBlue will receive assistance from Parsons to execute the design and construction of this new passenger terminal.
The $300m T5 at FLL will feature five gates.
Parsons connected communities president Peter Torrellas said: “Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International airport is one of the fastest-recovering US airports, with passenger traffic approaching 2019 pre-pandemic levels. As we continue a return to air travel, it is critical for airports and airlines alike to prepare for passenger and service expansion.
“Our aviation experts have served South Florida for more than 20 years and we look forward to building on that legacy in partnership with JetBlue and the Broward County Aviation Department.”
