Serbia’s Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG) has commenced the next phase of its infrastructure modernisation programme.
Wide-ranging works on Terminal 2, which are being executed in phases, cover the complete reconstruction of the interior, an additional number of check-in counters and over 1,200m² of space for new eateries and shops.
A centralised security control will be established on the first floor for enhancing the flow of passengers.
Currently, work is progressing to renovate the A and C side gates, along with an additional roof corridor that will separate arriving and departing passengers.
In addition, the Serbian gateway, which is a member of Vinci Airports, is involved in preparatory works for improving access to roads.
For this, plans are on to build new parking spaces, modernise and reorganise traffic lanes, as well as reconfigure the access plateau in front of the passenger terminal completely.
