Dubai-based air services provider dnata has forged a partnership with aircraft maintenance company Global Jet Technic (GJT) to offer line maintenance support to carriers in Dubai.
Under the framework of this partnership, dnata will promote GJT’s services to provide a one-stop-shop of ground handling, cargo and technical services to its 150 clients at Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central (DWC) airports.
GJT, which has been approved by the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), presently runs line maintenance stations at DXB and Sharjah Airport (SHJ) in the UAE.
The aircraft maintenance company is also planning to commence its operations at DWC in the coming years.
dnata executive vice-president Steve Allen said: “dnata and GJT share a passion for service excellence, safety and innovation. Our expert teams will ensure the smooth delivery of tailor-made, quality line maintenance services across all aircraft types. We look forward to a long-standing, successful partnership with GJT.”

dnata has managed over 77,000 flights and moved 570,000t of cargo in the country over the last year.
Last week, dnata signed a lease with Sydney Airport (SYD) to expand its current cargo handling facility.
The facility will be expanded by another 4,800m² under the five-year lease, enlarging the site to 16,300m².
