National Aviation Services (NAS) has renewed its contract to continue to serve Aqaba Air Cargo Terminal (AACT) at Jordan’s King Hussein International Airport (AQJ).
The contract renewal with the Aqaba Airports Company (AAC) and Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) will see NAS operated and manage AACT for additional two decades.

The air cargo terminal has been facilitating Aqaba’s logistics activities since its formation in 2004.
NAS has been offering services such as ground operations, bonded storage, cargo handling, warehousing, safety and security, as well as ground equipment at AACT since 2006.
To improve the management of cargo business, NAS launched a cargo management system for pricing, billing to supply chain management and cargo operations.
Furthermore, the company also streamlined the cargo services through automation to provide transparency and tracking services to clients.

Last year, NAS successfully finished the Regulated Agent third country validation process (RA3) for Aqaba’s air cargo operations.
This validation and certification process, which is recognised globally, confirms the European Union (EU) regulatory compliance for air cargo transportation to EU nations.
