Airports Authority of India (AAI) has approved the masterplan for the Jewar International Airport project, which is to be constructed in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
Construction will commence after receiving the final security clearance from the Bureau of Civil Aviation (BCA), reported The Times of India.
The officials of Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL) said that the masterplan was sent to AAI to ensure that all technical requirements are being fulfilled.
NIAL CEO Arunvir Singh was quoted by The Times of India as saying: “We have now received the approval, as well as some suggestions from AAI. They have reviewed the project masterplan.”
The masterplan covers details and design of the entire site, including terminals, runways, commercial areas, parking spaces, and more.
For the technical assessment of all such particulars for any commercial airport, AAI holds the nodal authority in India.
