VINCI Airports has completed modernisation works at Toulon Hyères Airport in France.
The programme included renovation of the two runways and taxiways, improvement of runway lighting and work to comply with the established water law.
The project, which began in September last year, was delivered by a consortium of companies involving Eurovia Toulon agency, TP Spada and VINCI Energies subsidiary Degreane.
According to VINCI Airports, the modernisation will help in improving Toulon Hyères Airport’s environmental performance.
The renovated runways meet eco-design and recycling standards while lamella separators will help in removing pollutants in water runoff before recovery.
VINCI Airports chairman and VINCI Concessions CEO Nicolas Notebaert said: “As France embarks on its Green recovery plan, we are happy to continue investing to modernise the Toulon Hyères Airport.
