EmbraerX has partnered with Australia’s civil air navigation service provider Airservices for a new concept of operations (CONOPS) in urban air mobility (UAM).

As part of this partnership, EmbraerX’s new spin-off, Eve Urban Air Mobility Solutions, will work with Airservices and develop Urban Air Traffic Management solutions.

The CONOPS was developed with the aim of advancing the UAM market’s growth in the Asia Pacific continent.

EmbraerX president and CEO Daniel Moczydlower said: “The creation of the UAM ecosystem requires innovative solutions, which is also a fundamental pillar of Embraer’s growth strategy for the coming years, and EmbraerX was built to address these needs.

“Through this partnership, we are jointly embarking on the first steps toward Australia becoming one of the world’s first UAM markets.”

Leveraging Airservices’ simulation technology, the CONOPS discovers new and practical concepts to integrate air taxis in Melbourne airspace while preparing to scale-up operations via new traffic management technologies.
