The A350-900 will be operated by Aeroflot from Moscow to destinations such as London, Dubai, New York, Miami, Osaka and Beijing.

The A350 XWB offers design operational flexibility and efficiency for all market segments, including ultra-long-haul.

The aircraft also features an aerodynamic design, a carbon fibre fuselage and wings, and new fuel-efficient Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines.

These latest technologies are collectively expected to result in a 25% reduction in operating costs, fuel burn and CO2 emissions.

Airbus noted that the A350 XWB family had received 935 firm orders from 50 customers worldwide, at the end of January.
