UK’s Heathrow Airport has recorded revenues of GBP1.3bn, representing a 5.9% increase in the first six months of 2015.
For the six months ended on 30 June 2015, Heathrow saw an increase of 1.3% in passenger numbers to 35.5 million compared to 35.1 million reported in the same period last year.
The increase in passenger numbers has seen EBITDA of GBP748m, a rise of 6.3% compared with the year-earlier period.
In addition, the Airports Commission has provided unanimous and clear recommendation for Heathrow’s new North West runway plan, following three years of extensive consultation, evidence gathering and analysis.
Heathrow chief executive officer John Holland-Kaye said: "Heathrow’s performance in the last six months has been excellent, improving service to passengers and controlling costs.
"The Airports Commission’s unanimous and clear recommendation to support Heathrow was warmly welcomed by business leaders and politicians from across the country and closed the debate on where a new runway should be built.
