Hong Kong’s Airport Authority (AA) has signed an agreement with Shenzhen Airport Management Company with an aim to synergise the development of the two airports.
The agreement details several aspects of cooperation, and was signed by AA CEO Fred Lam and Shenzhen Airport Management Company Limited president Wang Yang.
According to the agreement, both airports will proactively promote reformation of the Pearl River Delta (PRD) airspace to authorities to bolster the efficiency of airspace resources allocation.
The two airports will promote setting up a designated immigration channel at Shenzhen Bay for passengers and vehicles travelling between the two airports, and the enhancement of sea and land transport services and equipment.
They will also coordinate with airlines operating at both the airports to develop ‘all-in-one ticket’ products, which comprise hotel accommodation and transportation options, such as flight, ferry and coach tickets.
The two airports will establish a working group to frequently review and follow up on projects stated in the agreement.
