Air India Engineering Services Limited (AIESL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Haveus Aerotech India to construct maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility at Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport.
Dubai Aviation City Corporation (DACC) executive chairman H E Khalifa Al Zaffin signed an exclusive agreement with Haveus Aerotech India managing director Anshul Bhargava to build and operate the latest eco-friendly CFM56-7B/5B MRO facility at Dubai’s airport.
The Delhi-based aircraft services firm Haveus Aerotech chose AIESL to build the facility.
AIESL has been assigned to provide a host of engineers, manpower and technical know-how in building the MRO facility at the airport.
Bhargava was quoted by Financialexpress.com as saying: "Haveus Aerotech’s ultra modern, technologically advanced MRO facility in Dubai involves an investment of over $100m.
"It will be spread over 9,000m² area and cater to the burgeoning demand of Aircraft engine overhaul of CFM56-7B and 5B fitted on Boeing 737 and Airbus 320 family aircraft in the Gulf, Far East, Asian and the adjoining regions.

AIESL CEO H R Jagannathan was quoted by The Economic Times as saying: "AIESL has vast aviation and engine experience, which we will deploy to provide Haveus Aerotech India with all necessary support in terms of provision of skilled manpower and quality certification related to the facility."
