The rise in cargo volume during March resulted primarily from a 5% rise in exports and a 3% increase in transshipments, with India and Australasia being the major trading regions.
In the first quarter of 2016, HKIA handled 17.6 million passengers with a rise of 7.5%. Flight traffic also grew by 4%, with the number of movements reaching 102,880.
