Emirates has launched its fifth A380, which features a design raising awareness of illegal wildlife trade, at London’s Heathrow Airport.
The new A380 is a model aircraft that features special livery in support of United for Wildlife, an alliance between conservation organisations, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince Harry.
The new Emirates A380 aircraft is to be displayed onsite at the airport’s main traffic roundabout.
A third of the size of an operational A380 and weighing more than 45t, it is one of the largest aircraft models worldwide.
Over the last six months, Emirates has been spreading awareness of the threat posed to wild animals by illegal trading.
Emirates Airline president Sir Tim Clark said: "Through our global brand footprint, Emirates can help drive consumer awareness and interest in the issue.
