Textron Aviation has integrated its new Beechcraft King Air 350i, 250 and C90GTx turboprop aircraft with Rockwell Collins’ Pro Line Fusion flight deck.
King Air’s Pro Line Fusion features three 14in touchscreen primary flight displays to provide pilots with interactive maps and easy-to-use icons.
The package includes synthetic vision as a standard feature, including Rockwell Collins’ airport dome, and extended runway centrelines with mile markers; maps with flight planning, topography real-time onboard weather radar overlays and special-use airspace and search patterns.
Other components include DO-260B-compliant ADS-B, SBAS-capable GNSS, geo-referenced electronic navigation charts, fast database updates using a standard USB drive and video windows for viewing inputs from enhanced vision system (EVS) or other external cameras.
Rockwell Collins business and regional systems vice-president and general manager Craig Olson said: "Textron Aviation is enhancing its Beechcraft King Air line with an advanced, state-of-the-art avionics system that transforms pilot operations.
"Now, whether flying a factory-new airplane or installing Pro Line Fusion as an upgrade in a fielded King Air, pilots will enjoy extensive situational awareness and a revolution in simplicity."
