Powered by Honeywell’s JetWave Satcom system, Bombardier’s Ka-band system installed on the Global family features Inmarsat’s JetConneX broadband solution.

Using the Ka-band system, customers on-board Global aircraft will be able to browse internet, stream online media or stage a video conference.

Bombardier Business Aircraft chief operating officer Paul Sislian said: “Customers routinely rank connectivity as the most sought-after cabin service, and Bombardier’s Ka-band system is a further example of how we are leading the industry in delivering the ultimate cabin experience to our customers.

In March, Bombardier won a supplemental type certificate from Transport Canada for its Ka-band system.
