Taiwanese airline EVA Air is adding four Boeing 787-10s to its fleet in a deal worth almost $2bn as part of its ongoing expansion.
A stock exchange filing by the company revealed the order and priced the aircraft at no more than $488m each, but did not provide any details about a delivery timeline.

The deal continues Eva’s widebody fleet expansion following its order for 18 A350-1000s from Airbus signed last year as part of a wider $10.1bn contract including 15 single-aisle A321neos.
The airline currently has 79 passenger aircraft in its fleet with another 48 on order, including the new Boeing order, which adds to the two 787-10s already on Eva’s orderbook.
While Eva had previously selected the A350-1000 to replace its ageing 777-300ERs, the new Boeing order will be welcome news for the company, especially as Eva was one of the launch airlines for the extended range Dreamliner model in the early 2000s.
With the latest order, Eva’s Boeing orderbook now stands at 15 aircraft, with the 787-10s to be delivered alongside nine 787-9s, adding to the four of widebody aircraft already in its service.
