Austria’s Frequentis will help Poland-based IT-COM to develop a new voice communications system (VCS) for the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA).
In September 2016, IT-COM won a competitive tender process to provide the new VCS for PANSA, a Polish air navigation service provider (ANSP).
IT-COM originally collaborated with Schmid Telecom on the project, but the partnership ended after the Swiss company went bankrupt last year.
IT-COM CEO Stanislaw Sniezek said: “I am glad to announce, that after a very short negotiation we have found an agreement with Frequentis and will together deliver an outstanding solution for our customer.”
Under the scope of the project, IT-COM will have to provide training, as well as preparations for providing all necessary functionalities and services.
Frequentis air traffic management (ATM) vice-president Hannu Juurakko said: “Frequentis has always seen Poland as a strategic market and will bring its strong expertise in ATM voice communication systems to ensure high customer satisfaction of the end customer.”
